SAP Plant Maintenance Order

SAP Plant Maintenance Order:

PM Orders are the most important part and key of planning and executing Maintenance activities. Maintenance order is a very powerful tool to record maintenance job details, Material involvement  and wages,  cost in the finance and controlling documents.

This functionality is not available in Notification.

Why we create PM order ?
1. Plan and Execute maintenance work in a well co-ordinate manner .
2. Maintenance Job schedule, priority, labor resources and capabilities

PM Order Types:  
Following are the Standard PM Order types available in SAP, however additional order types can also be created on your need basis


PM01 Maintenance order
PM02 Regular Maintenance order
PM03 Preventive Maintenance Order
PM04 Refurbishment order
PM05 Order including Notification
PM06 Calibration Order

PM07 Investment Order
SM01 Service Order

How to Create a Maintenance Order :

1. Order Create directly.
2. Order Create directly from Notification.
3. Order Create Automatically from Maintenance Planning.

PM Order Components: 
 Header Data, Operations ( Maintenance Task List), Components (Material, Services etc), Cost (Material, Service, Labor Costs etc.) Partner, Objects, Additional Data (Responsible Cost Center, Object Class, Profit Center etc.) Location Data, Planning Data etc.

Order Related Important T Code: 

IW31 = Create

IW32 = Change

IW33 = Display

IW34 = Create Notification Order

IW37N = Change Order with Operation List.

IW38 = Change Order (List)

IW40 = Order List (Multi-level)

IW41 = Order Confirmation (CNF)

IW45 = Cancel Order Confirmation

      Open the Order by IW37N, Select the Order with Operation, Then Click the List (Menu) > Spreadsheet and Export.

  2. Is there a way to assign a person to all operation on a work order all at a time? and not assigning them to each operation one by one

      I haven't find yet the process to person allocation in different Operation at a time. System tracking each operation individually. I am working this issue, If i get i will inform you.
